This war of mine item values1/15/2024 ![]() You need 9 slots worth of components and 6 slots worth of wood over 2 nights of scavenging. Once you have the hatchet, you have enough wood to board up all the walls. Ruined Flats, Decrepit Squat, St Mary's Church and Sniper Junction are also good). Hopefully the Saw allowed you to break into a place with lots of weapon parts (Garage is the best place for this, especially if you're willing to bring along a lockpick and steal from the family. You need to loot at least 36 components, 5 parts, 5 weapon parts & 12 wood over 2 nights. 1 slot will be taken up by trade goods, 1 slot by meds (resist the urge to grab food on night 1 as you don't need them yet) which gives you at least 2 slots to get a jumpstart on the next night (especially to make sure the parts and weapon parts quota is filled). Generally, only 5 or 6 slots are needed to fill this night's quota. I scavenge what I need to make up 32 components, 15 wood, 5 parts & 1 weapon part & fill rest of inventory with food/meds. I almost always start scavenging the decrepit squat, bringing 1 raw food + 1 crowbar. I don't build a shovel since digging by hand is doable and the resources are needed to keep the build order going. I've been trying to figure out a build order that helps you get on your feet the fastest. My guess would be that wood is worth twice as much as components (so a STACK of wood and a stack of components are worth the same) but I haven't gotten around to testing it specifically, although it would make sense as to how the original author made this error, accidentally comparing them stack to stack rather than 1 to 1.My optimized build order (don't read unless you want the game spoiled) very often i will finish of a deal, not in winter (where the guy is saying "this wont do") by removing one wood from what i'm asking for, then asking for 1 component, and he then agrees. I've proven to myself that 1 wood is worth more than 1 component. Though I haven't tested to how far it actually drops.Ĭomponents and Wood definitely have different values. Taking that in to account, it seems the value of a jewel drops the more finished materials you add to the list. ![]() But I almost forgot about the first deal I mentioned. It seems you only get 12.5 if you're asking only for crafting components. So I do believe it's a case of any finished material being there. But if I removed the 1 ammo, I could get a deal for 12 components. I tried it with 1 single ammo and components, it would go bad if I reached 12 with that (9 component and 1 ammo). So I'm guessing the value is either 11 or 11.5 when trading for anything that contains finished goods as opposed to only crafting materials. ![]() The deal still worked at 1 jewel for 1 lockpick, 2 components and 1 ammo, which comes at 11. So I guess this item has a different value when traded it for built good as opposed to components. Adding 1 more of the lowest value would make the deal go bad. However, in a previous trade for crafting materials, I did a combination of "components" and "parts" and got exactly the right amount to reach 12.5 for 1 jewel in a few ways, and it always was exactly correct. But the trader is saying the one jewel isn't enough. Just tried to trade 1 jewel, which is 12.5, for 1 lock pick and 2 ammo. ![]()
